Give the people a short description of your MicroAdventure.
We are a group of 8 friends with corporate jobs who decided to go fly-fishing in Lesotho. We wanted to go early in the year when the smallmouth yellowfish is still active in the clear-water rivers of Lesotho. We all invested in matching Patagonia caps for gees! #toerdrag
How do you get to the start? Please share some directions.
Some of us flew from Cape Town to Johannesburg, one guy flew in from London, and then we drove to Lesotho in 3 cars - entered from the Calendonspoort border.
How much did it cost (per person)?
R2,501 - R5,000 per person.
Best time to go?
February, as there is a chance to catch a rainbow trout, brown trout and yellowfish - all in one day! This is known as a Lesotho Slam.
A quick note about safety. Can you do it solo? Do you need a crew? It's more fun to do it with friends. The people of Lesotho are very friendly and we never felt unsafe.
