We're stoked to launch one of Patagonia's staples in South Africa: the R1 midlayer! What's more exciting, this year is the 20th anniversary of the R1. 

As an ode to the R1, Nico Favresse and Sean Villanueva O’Driscoll made a music video about all the wild adventures, first ascents, and classic moments that have been Done in R1. 

HOW TO ENTER

Sing & record your version of the R1 song in the great outdoors - on the mountain, on a rooftop, at a braai, at the crag, in your garden - as long as it’s outside.

Post your R1 song on Instagram (story or permanent post) using the hashtag #DoneInAnR1 and tagging @Gone_Outdoor in the post - before midnight on Sunday 27 October 2019.

THE PRIZE

We'll be choosing the op song and the singer(s) of the best song take home an R1 of your choice. If you're a team of two, both of you get an R1. Yewwww!
